Getting started
How do I book a throw?
On "Heute / Tonight", tap every pin that fell in the diamond. If the ball went into the gutter, tap one of the "Rinne / Gutter" strips instead. The line under the diamond shows what Pudelkasse recognised and the fine, then tap "Wurf buchen / Book throw". Tap "Undo" on the message at the bottom if you made a mistake.
How does the app tell a Pudel, Sandhase, Kranz or Alle Neune apart?
Gutter marked = Pudel (pins that fall afterwards don't count). No pin down and no gutter = Sandhase. All eight outer pins down while the König in the middle stands = Kranz. All nine on a full set = Alle Neune. A second Pudel in a row by the same thrower adds the Pudel-streak fine.
How do I replace the sample club with my own?
Pudelkasse starts with the sample club "KC Gut Holz Ehrenfeld" so you can try everything. Go to Settings and choose "Start a fresh season" to keep the members and catalogue but clear the money, or edit and add members under "Kasse / Ledger".
Fines and money
Can I change the amount of a fine?
Yes. Open "Strafen / Fines", tap any entry and change the amount. Automatic fines can be paused with a swipe. House fines can be pinned so they appear as quick tickets at the lane.
How do I record that someone paid?
In "Kasse / Ledger", swipe left on the member to mark the whole balance as paid, or open the member and tap "Record payment" for a partial amount or a monthly contribution.
Does Pudelkasse move real money?
No. It is the treasurer's notebook for the cash collected at the table. No payment is processed in the app.
Games, trip and widget
Which club games are included?
In die Vollen, Abräumen, Tannenbaum, Hausnummer and Fuchsjagd. Open "Spiele / Games", pick a game, set the throwing order and tap "Start at the lane". Pudelkasse keeps the score and books the game fine for last place.
How is the Kegelfahrt forecast calculated?
The kitty (all payments minus spending) is compared with your trip goal. The forecast uses what the club saved over the last twelve weeks.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold the Home Screen, tap "Edit", then "Add Widget" and search for Pudelkasse. Tapping it opens tonight's evening or the Kegelfahrt.
I don't get reminders.
Turn on "Remind me on Kegelabend" in the app's settings and allow notifications. If you declined before, enable them in iOS Settings › Notifications › Pudelkasse.
Data
Where is my data stored?
Only on your device. There is no account and no cloud. See the privacy policy. Deleting the app deletes all data, so export the ledger (share button in "Kasse") if you want a copy.
